The Colour Blue

For the last couple of years the on trend colour to have has been grey but this year it has been replaced by blue. Blue is a colour that inspires calm and so it is no wonder that it was chosen as the Pantone Colour of the Year 2020.

Textures

Adding multiple layers of texturing to your furniture is another big trend for 2020 with multiple cushions on sofas all with differing textures being a popular design choice. Other ways in which people are trying to bring texture into their living space is with the use of dried flowers and well placed knick knacks.

Concealed kitchens

With living spaces getting smaller more and more people are looking at ways in which they can disguise their everyday appliances and one way to do this is with a concealed kitchen area. This is also popular when trying to hide washing machines and tumble driers in communal or utility room spaces.
