Online sales have skyrocketed over the last few years and retailers are having to look at new ways in which they can get their products to their customers. For some this means looking at enhancing their warehouse capacity. Regardless of the size of the warehouse that you have available to you there are some great ways that you can maximise the space.

Look up

Whilst you may not have the floor space that you want in your warehouse, this does not stop you from using the space that you have above you. Longspan Shelving and other forms of commercial shelving can give you ample storage by using the height of your warehouse as a guideline. Of course it is important to ensure that you have a way to get the items on and off your shelves in a safe manner.

Inventory checks

Make a point of regularly checking what items sell well in your business. You don’t want to have items sitting on shelves for weeks on end and not moving. By analysing your best sellers you can increase the capacity of these and reduce the amount of low sellers or perhaps phase them out completely following a sale to clear all your leftover stock.
